An enthusiastic and creative photographer, experienced in covering a wide range of subjects from news, features and sports photography.

Recent assignments include work for The Guardian, The Times, Daily Mail, The Financial Times and magazine work for such titles as the Independent-on-Sunday Review, Time Magazine, Woman's Own and Chat.

Photographed news stories at the highest level including events in Yugoslavia, Northern Ireland, Royal tours, weddings and funerals, Papal visits and Election Campaigns etc. Sporting events embrace International and Premiership football, cricket test matches and overseas tours to India and the Caribbean, Wimbledon, Open Golf, boxing and Winter Olympics etc.

Won numerous photographic awards, including British Picture Editors and World Press Photos Awards.

Worked for the Mirror in England and the South China Morning Post in Hong Kong.

Presented 'Picture This', a 10 week TV series about photography on Granada TV.

Mounted several one-man touring exhibitions including 'Blackpool Between the Piers' 1982, 'A State of Health' 1984, 'A Mirror Image' 1988 and 'Hong Kong Ten Years and Counting' 1990.

Gained a Fellowship in Photojournalism from the Royal Photographic Society and is also a member of the British Association of Journalists
